In this special class, students will hold traditional restorative postures and receive Reiki Therapy. Together we will create a magical experience that allows participants to drop deeper into their practice, clear blockages and rest deeply. Restorative Yoga helps to relieve the effects of stress by allowing the central nervous system to calm while the body is fully supported with the use of props (bolsters, blankets, blocks , etc...), stimulating deep relaxation and a sense of restoring and renewing your mind, body and spirit.
To deepen your experience of healing and relaxation, Reiki Therapy enables you to access your innate healing energies so that you are able to achieve states of deep relaxation and healing by yourself. The combination of Restorative Yoga and Reiki healing allows for deep stillness to be found, as well as a transformative experience within and without. Be prepared to feel a profound state of calmness and deep relaxation encouraging a restful nights sleep.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is based on this unseen life force energy. It is practiced by laying hands on an area of the body and allowing the life force energy to flow freely for people to feel alive. Reiki treatments produce feelings of peace, security and wellness.
Reiki healing therapy works through the transference of positive energy into the chakras (the energy centers throughout the spine), which serve as a pathway for prana to flow through the body. Our chakras become blocked by negative thoughts and feelings, and blockages can decrease organ functioning and health, as life force energy is unable to reach them. The transference of positive energy into chakras breaks up the blockage by increasing vibration in the bodies energy field. The subsequent pathways are both healed and straightened, and life force energy can penetrate the bodies organs and tissues to increase their level of functioning. This ancient practice alleviates stress, decreases pain and anxiety, and promotes relaxation and well-being.
